How to fix first column in Google Spreadsheet


Fixing a column in Google Spreadsheet is very similar to the process of fixing a row in Google SpreadsheetOpens in a new tab.. When you manipulate big amount of data in a spreadsheet it is often useful to fix first column so you always see the name of the rows in the first column when you scroll right or left.

1. Open the spreadsheet and then go to the View menu.

2. Navigate to “Freeze columns” and then select appropriate number of columns you want to be fixed. You can fix up to five columns.
